Henry Rollins is playing a few shows in New York City this weekend. The tickets are priced at $50-$150, what the fuck happened to punk? This is what happened, it's fashionable (everyone knows that) but, it's also profitable in a much more backwards way. In NYC we got the kids called "Crust Punks", what's that? Crust Punk are dirty kids who ride bikes and meld with hippies to form a pseudo trendy revolt on the hipsters, yet whether you're spending 150 dollars on some Henry Rollins tickets or spending that much at American Apparel, you're still feeding what you love to hate (with your friends, while riding bikes). Punk was cool because it was cheap, raw and totally disconnected from the mainstream, these throwback attempts are profitable, trendy and backwards making you a pawn, in the most ironic way possible.
In short: Listen to the Minutemen. Go to house shows and fuck Henry Rollins.
